Lisa Goff, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Yoga Therapist
You’ve always been there for everyone else. You work hard to make sure the people you love are taken care of and happy. You don’t want to burden anyone with your trauma, health concerns or anxiety. On the outside it looks like you’ve got it all together, but on the inside you’re falling apart. You don’t know how much longer you can hold on and running away has become a persistent fantasy.
Ignoring your body and pushing your own needs aside has led to chronic pain, exhaustion, insomnia and anxiety. You want things to be different. You want to feel different.
You’re ready to take the first step
I’ve spent years studying the mind and body to understand the impact of trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety and stress on mental and physical health. There is no separating the mind and body. Your whole body is saying it’s too much and your whole body needs to be involved in healing trauma and regulating your nervous system.
My therapeutic style
As a clinical social worker and certified yoga therapist, I focus on integrating body awareness and mindfulness with gold standard trauma treatments such as EMDR and CBT. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and weave parts work into every aspect of treatment. I am compassionate and gently directive. Each session is unique and tailored to you. Too often we go through life feeling unseen and unheard, this is your opportunity to sit with someone who is ready to be fully present with you as you face whatever challenges are keeping you from living in alignment with your truest self.
A little bit about me
I am a native of the Pacific Northwest and love the outdoors. I am happiest around trees and water and try to get out into the mountains as often as I can. My office and home are filled with plants because they help me feel more grounded and at ease.
I am the mother of four kids and dog mom to one crazy doodle. Our family loves to travel together, cook elaborate meals and engage in conversations about everything from books to urban planning to physics (I have to sit out the physics discussions, my husband is the math guy).
We have lived all over the county and love that we now call the beautiful mountains of Utah our home.
